The intersection of photography, drawing, and technology has always fascinated me. Early in my career, I experimented with double exposures and darkroom techniques to create unique images. Before the age of digital tools, I blended illustrations into photos by exposing negatives onto photographic paper through mylar that was inked or sketched on.
Today, digital technology inspires me to push the boundaries of what is possible in my art. I continually explore new techniques and tools to create art that is both innovative and timeless. Patterns and textures are prevelant in my work and intended to evoke a sense of wonder and joy for the viewer.
In addition to my artistic practice, I am an instructional designer, instructor, and LinkedIn Learning instructor, teaching graphics courses at MiraCosta College and authoring creative courses for LinkedIn Learning. Additionally, I represent Adobe as an Adobe Community Expert and speak at industry conferences.
As an artist, educator, and speaker, I am dedicated to exploring the possibilities of digital art and sharing my knowledge with others. My work has been recognized with numerous awards, including two Photoshop Guru awards from Photoshop World in the Artistic Category. Recognition is nice, but the greatest reward for me is inspiring others to unleash their own creativity.
